Current pension issues for private customers
Pensioner - Read your annual letter in Varma Online Service
All pensioners’ annual letters are available in our online service. The letter shows the amount of pensions and withholding tax for 2025 and 2026 and the payment dates for 2026. Guardians and people living abroad will receive the letter by post.

Residence report
In January, we will send our pensioners living abroad a residence report together with the annual letter. The residence report must be returned by 16 March 2026.
The 2026 tax rates for pensioners will be applied from 1 January 2026
We get the 2026 tax rates directly from the Tax Administration. You do not need to submit the tax card sent by the tax authority to us. If you have retired on 1 November 2025 or 1 December 2025, remember to request a tax card for 2026, too.
Current issues from the pension record
Did you know that the pension also accrues from social benefits? If you received, for example, earnings-related unemployment allowance last year, the benefit information from last year will be updated to your pension record by the end of March
