You can now make an estimate of the TyEL contribution for 2026 in Varma Online Service

You can now make an estimate of next year's TyEL contribution in Varma Online Service. For the estimate, you only need a projection of the payroll for 2026. If the projection of the payroll changes, you can always make a new contribution estimate. The service also allows you to estimate the amount of your company's TyEL contribution for the current year.

The contribution estimate in Varma Online Service includes:

  • an estimate of the TyEL contribution for the entire year
  • an estimate of the client bonus and the administrative cost contribution
  • estimates of the TyEL contribution percentage and the employees' share of the contribution

For large employers, the estimate also takes into account the impact of the contribution category.

The estimates always use the most up-to-date projections of the TyEL contribution rates. We will update the contribution rate projections if they are further refined during the autumn. The new contribution rates will be available in estimates made after the update. Varma's administrative cost contribution principle for next year has already been confirmed. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health will confirm the other TyEL contribution rates for 2026 later in the fall.

The administrative cost contribution is part of the TyEL contribution used for the implementation of earnings-related pensions and the administration of insurance. Its level is affected by the efficiency of the earnings-related pension company's operations. Each earnings-related pension company determines its own administrative cost contribution.
